Marine Sphere

This is outragious! A deep sea glass ball made to sink 22,000 feet,yes 22,000 feet! This glass sphere comes complete with state of the art recording equip for the time it was made.The glass on this piece is about 3" thick and weighs about 70lbs the guts of this ball consist of a couple of huge battery packs a clock 3 microphones atatched to the glass and a double cassette deck with the orginal tapes still in it.I was told that these kind of devices were used for spying and or listening to conversasions between countries. A spy ball.There are no chips or cracks the black tape around the middle was there when it was found as well as the yellow hard hats.This glass ball device is called a deep sea glass sphere and was invented in 1969 and used as intelegence for the deep sea.who knows what information those tapes hold.I believe this glass sphere was made in 1978 and has been floating around for 27 years. The size of this U.F.O.looking device is 4ft 7" in circ. and 17" tall,WOW!! I have no reserve on this piece but in 1978 it was purchased by Japan for twenty one thousand dollars.This is a great conversasion piece starting bid is $2,600.00 good luck,Aloha!!!
